We are currently seeking Sponsors and Producers for the Arizona Swing
Jam. Please join us by becoming a sponsor for our gala and dance
workshop event. For
ten years we have presented the Arizona Swing Jam to over 500 attendees
each year. We are
anticipating an even greater response this year and have moved to a
large dance venue to accommodate our guests. This
event will be a great opportunity for your sponsorship. In preparation
for this event we are planning an aggressive marketing campaign in order
to get maximum attendance and coverage.
Frankie
Manning
is a world renowned swing dancer who performed in numerous films, and
entertained on stages around the world with jazz greats Ethel Waters,
Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, and Cab Calloway. In 1989,
he won a Tony Award for his choreography in “Black and Blue”.
Considered the world's leading authority on the lindy, he is
highlighted in Ken Burns's acclaimed documentary, Jazz.
His
autobiography, “Frankie Manning: Ambassador of Lindy Hop”, was
published by Temple University Press in spring 2007, released on his
93rd birthday.
This event will feature:
