Shesha and Nikki Marvin:
Nikki Marvin is a fresh face in the international Lindy Hop teaching and competition circuit known for her swivels, lines, and personality. Her teaching style focuses on pure lead and follow, connection and frame. Always inspired, Nikki strives to draw inspiration from past and present dancers of all styles. Her accolades include placement and winnings from: National Jitterbug Championships, Camp Jitterbug, Reno Dance Sensation, Swing in the Colony, California Girl Jam, and Sugarfoot Stomp. She runs the Orange County Swing Dance Club with her husband Shesha Marvin and is an organizer of The OC Lindy Exchange, The 24 Hour Cancer Dance-a-thon, and Inspiration Weekend.

Nikki has a wonderful and confident styling that sets her apart on the social dance floor. Nikki is not only a beautiful dancer and performer, she is a strong, experienced teacher who knows how to get the material across to her students. She has been getting a lot of attention nationally and we are excited to have her at the Arizona Swing Jam.

Shesha Marvin is president of The Orange County Swing Dance Club and runs one of the most successful swing dance scenes in the country, teaching over 300 dancers a week and running 2 packed swing nights. He is also an avid tap dancer and is well known for his famous 101 hat tricks. Shesha has performed and toured with Hot Stop and Rhythm, a local dance team headed by Audrey Wilson, and Hop Star, a national dance troupe. His movie and television work include dancing in The 13th Floor, Hang Time, The Teacher Awards and most recently performed on Dancing with the Stars in 2007 (watch video).
As a seasoned and positive instructor, he can teach advanced concepts with ease. His wealth of knowledge from many years of dancing make him a wonderful addition to this year's instructor line-up.

Steve Conrad (event organizer): Steve first discovered swing dancing in 1992 as a high school senior.  Years later, after being dragged out to a swing dance by his brother, Troy, he was hooked and soon became a founder of the AZ Lindy Hop Society.  He has been teaching/performing Lindy hop and East Coast Swing for over 11 years. He taught at the Desert Dance Camp in Las Vegas and Laughlin, Carnage Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, Albuquerque, NM, and throughout Europe. He worked with the Mercury hip hop squad, the Phoenix Suns dancers, and the Arizona Sidewinders, teaching, choreographing, or performing at half time.  He also performed with the Judds for the Millennium New Years Eve reunion and taught Ashley Judd aerials. Steve has taught more than 15,000 people how to dance through workshops, school districts, classes at Borders Books, and over 11 years of lindy hop classes in Arizona. Currently, Steve teaches with Heather Hill at Lamar Day Spa in Scottsdale and runs swing nights at Farenheit in Scottsdale and the Gaslight Studio in Glendale.  He and Heather are also the instructors for the summer swing series at the Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix.

Heather Hill: Heather has been dancing swing for over 10 years and has taught many classes in Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing and Balboa in both Indiana and Arizona. She currently teaches classes regularly with Steve Conrad in Phoenix at Lamar Day Spa, Farenheit, and the Wrigley Mansion during the summer.  She is a great dancer and an articulate teacher with a lot of finesse.  Follows like Heather because she always has something to offer in terms of style and following. And if you have danced with her, you've already had a little slice of heaven.

Rachael DeMers: Rachael is an accomplished blues dancer and teacher . She focuses on concepts such as simplicity, clarity, expression, and body awareness which are critical to advanced social dancing. This past year, Rachael has placed in the top 3 at a national blues dance competition. At Blues Shout in St. Louis she placed in the Jack and Jill (3rd) (see video) and Strictly Juke Joint (1st). She also participated in the foundation of Denver’s newest teaching group, Black Diamond Blues. In addition to this, Rachael has taught at events such as Denver’s Blues Summit - a national blues exchange, San Francisco’s FNB and Tangoed up in Blues, as well as local Phoenix workshops and classes. Formerly from Denver, CO, Rachael is a recent transplant to AZ and we are glad to have her here! She teaches classes at Big Fish Pub on Wednesday nights and runs the Juke Joint Blues on 4th Fridays at Arthur Murray in Mesa
